Tactair Fluid Controls Inc. announces the award of a $3.2 million contract from General Dynamics Land Systems

Tactair Fluid Controls Inc. announces the award of a $3.2 million contract from General Dynamics Land Systems to support the M1-A1 Abrams Tank rehabilitation program. The program encompasses hydraulic components from Tactair. Included in the components are 3 different types of hydraulic accumulators as well as a hydraulic motor power pack. The rehabilitation program is projected to last through 2012.

The General Dynamics M1-A1 Abrams main battle tank was introduced in 1985. The M1-A1 Abrams is powered by a 1,500hp gas turbine engine and is the premier main battle tank for the United States Military. Its design features include advanced electronic fire control and an assortment of secondary weapon systems.
